**About the Art**
Weeping Mountain is the first of a series of kintsugi works. I love the concept of kintsugi, which is the art of using gold lacquer to repair, traditionally, broken ceramics. Although broken and unrepaired by kintsugi, mountains are, in their imperfections exactly that much more beautiful. It is hard to imagine an unbroken mountain if that is even possible. To highlight that very fact, I wanted to utilize the pattern on the walls of the basin within the Dolomites in Italy. Here, you sit in the shadow of those colossal mountain walls. Weeping Mountain is an all-digital work.
